All that Blooms: My First Garden Project
This whole owning a home business has been eye opening for me. I seriously never mowed a lawn until one day the lawn was looking like a jungle, Delta was in North Dakota and I didn't want to be THAT neighbor. So I read the manual and gave it a go.
While I have been having a blast decorating the interior of our home, my mind came to a blank when it came to the exterior. Wasn't it enough to put a wreath on my door? Well a sudden burst of motivation came to me this last week and I did a little gardening.
Flowers: Hydrangeas and
Salvia 'Sensation Deep Rose'
Succulents: Echeveria, Watch Chain,
and Crosby's Compact Mini Jade
These were all from my local Home Depot
I know I made it sound like I did the whole yard, but let's be real, I'm a beginner here. But I'm pretty proud of my little garden spot. And I have already realized that soon those Hydrangea's will grow to big for that area but I'm choosing to ignore that fact for now.
That rock is what gave me the motivation to do something with this small area. Last fall I went to the Pahsimeroi Valley with my family, which was Spencer's favorite place in the world. While there I may have picked up this rock to place in my yard. What can I say, it's my "Berger" genes coming through. Shortly after bringing it home my dad and I realized that the spot where I found this rock had to have been only footsteps away from where Spencer took an amazing photo of Mount Corruption. The Pahsimeroi was were I have felt Spencer the most. And I love the fact that I have a little piece of that place at home.

I took this video of us trying to get the rock
down. For a moment it looks like it's
going to crash into the little cabin!
aw that looks really cute x
