Boomtown, USA

The moment I have been waiting for has finally happened. From now on I will be able to be with my husband every single night. I will never have to say another goodbye at the airport as he takes off for North Dakota.

Two weeks ago I began my roadtrip to the wonderful town of Williston, North Dakota. Along the way I encountered snow, rain, and buffalo crossings. But nothing was going to get in my way. I was a lady on a mission to bring her husband home!

Williston was an interesting town. I honestly was surprised to see so many families who have uprooted their lives too live there. I know the oil field career can sometimes be controversial, which I don't want to get into. But the company Delta worked at for almost five years, Schulmberger, has been a blessing. The amazing men that work there have helped to shape my husband into who he is today. A hardworking, committed, self-less man. I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture.

I still can't believe he is home for good. We spent 10 months of our first year of marriage mostly separated. I think it's about time we spend the remainder of our first year together and then every year after that.

They built a new one last year but this is where he worked the longest.

Delta didn't work this part of the oil fields but this was what you saw driving
through North Dakota to Williston. Not the prettiest scenery.
