A Creative Mess

One day, out of boredom I was scrolling through Facebook. When I found the most amazing thing ever, Darby Smart. This company will send you a box with everything you need to create a new craft each month. So of course I ordered a six month subscription! 

March was my first month and I was so excited for it to come. I was more exited for this than my Sephora orders. So I opened the box and found this (minus the measuring tool): 

Needlepoint? I don't know how to do that! Everyone who knows me knows I love crafts, but my extent of craftiness is scrapbooking. But, what's great about Darby smart is that they give you step by step instructions. 

So I ventured into the land of needlepoint work. This project was to make a ombré chevron sunglass case. It really wasn't hard, just time consuming for me at first. I was needlepointing during movies, on our drive to boise, and in bed!

Finally I finished one, then another one and probably more to come with the blue yarn they also sent. Family and friends, you might receive these as gifts, just saying. 

I'm now addicted to needlework and to Darby Smart! Seriously, check out the endless options of crafts here. 

And for my finished product...my Oakleys have never looked better. Can't wait for next month!
